Mental Health Awareness Week

ITI TE KUPU, NUI TE KŌRERO - A little chat can go a long way.
This week is New Zealand Mental Health Awareness Week. This year's theme is around communication and keeping up those conversations with your friends and family can make such a huge difference to your mental health.
Look out for each other, be kind, remember that what you see on the surface is often very different to what's going on underneath.
MĀ TE KŌRERO, KA ORA - through conversation comes wellbeing.
Safelets have such a wide network of users, including people who live with mental health conditions. Here is a review from a Safelet owner who uses her Safelet to cope with depression:
"As someone with depression, I have used my safelet when I am low. I was feeling suicidal a few days ago and wanted to end things. However, I pressed my Safelet and within 10 minutes my Dad came and picked up my son and my Mum dropped what she was doing and took me out for a walk and that helped a lot."
